Gambia U-20 Set to leave for S.Africa Tomorrow

The Gambia National Under 20 football team are expected to leave the country on Tuesday to South Africa for the CAF Youth Championship in Johannesburg this month [April].
The African Youth tournament which was supposed to take place in Libya was moved to South Africa by CAF due to unrest in Libya.
With the final selection of the coach Lamin Sarr been released, fans are expecting a good performance come the tournament in South Africa next week.

Below is the final list of players selected.

The 21-man squad comprises three goalkeepers, six defenders, eight midfielders and four strikers and includes eight foreign-based players.
However, there were no places for France-based Alieu Darbo (Le Mans), Spain-based Abubakar Touray-Drammeh and the much-touted Croatia-based Lamin Samateh of Lokomotiva.
Sarr has openly criticized the authorities’ failure to grant his requests for an international training camp and workouts against foreign teams.
