The Gambia National U-20 football team will begin their 2011 Orange African Youth Championships campaign today [Monday] against the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in Dobsonville Stadium, South Africa.The team under the leadership of Lamin Sarr arrived in South Africa on Saturday after completing their visa transactions in Dakar Senegal after waiting for more than expected to secure their green light to South Africa.
The Gambia though well prepared according to coach Lamin Sarr will be contesting in the strongest group [Group B] in the competition featuring Ghana, Nigeria and Cameroon.
The Gambia U-20 will play Cameroon today, Ghana on Wednesday before completing the group B clash against the Super eagles of Nigeria on Sunday.
