East Bi Win Banjul in Friendly

Ousman touray of Serrekunda East

The reigning champions of Gambia’s zonal competition Serrekunda East on Sunday defeated City Boys of Banjul by 2-1 in a friendly encounter meant to raise funds for the Serrekunda East sports committee. The game was played at Serrekunda East football field.  

Abubacarr Trawally benefited from Ousman Touray’s assistance to give  East Bi the lead in the fifth minute of the game, but  Ousman Cham of Banjul responded with an equalizer to make the scores one-all in just five minutes later - before the break .

Came into the second half, both team continued to push on their strength to score but Serrekunda East were more stronger as they pressured their opponents Banjul.

Though both teams were playing well but the winners happened to be Serrekunda East when Madu Jammeh netted a drilling last minute goal to give his side a 2-1 victory over the City Boys.
Banjul coach Sulayman Sarr described Serrekunda East as the better side as they trained for more than two or three months, which they did not.
