Accident Victim in Critical Condition

By Abdoulie Nget
Right in front of our office in Churchill’s Town, a commercial mini truck Thursday afternoon smashed a wheelbarrow pusher to near death.
At the time of going to press, he was confirmed alive, albeit in a critical condition as he was rushed from Serrekunda Health Centre to Royal Victoria Hospital in Banjul.
The victim, who the driver himself identified, probably by his second name, Njie, was coming from the direction of Westfield heading towards Tobokoto when the vehicle knocked him down.
He went unconscious on the spot and sustained severe injury as blood was oozing-out profusely from his chest where he was hit by the iron bar of his wheel-barrow.
