United Stars Crowned S.k East league Champions

United Stars finally emerged as the winners of the Serrekunda east league championship on Saturday after defeating Canon FC by two goals to nil in the well contested and attended final on the soil of Serrekunda East.
United Stars who came into the Serrekunda East competitions in 2005 were determined enough to win Canon FC, a team of the 80s in Serrekunda East Football.
Joseph Gomez’s first early goal in the 12minute gave United Stars the confidence to push on with their good style of play, as their opponents Canon FC pushed hard to equalize.
Come in the 58th minute of the game Alieu Bah delivered a perfect cross which Ebrima Faye took advantage of to double the lead for United Stars before Saidou Jarju of Canon pulled one back for his team to make the scores  2-1 in favor of  United Stars.
United Stars as the winners of the Serrekunda East League bagged a trophy with an amount of Thirty Thousand Dalasis (D30, 000) while Canon, as runners up went home with a cash price of Twenty Thousand Dalasis (D20, 000).
Meanwhile Certificates were presented to other teams. The leading goal scorer went to Musa Sowe of Ball Conge, Best goalkeeper went to Alhagie Jobe, the shot stopper of Ball Conge and Best player was awarded to Madi Jammeh of B.J Academic.
