Brikama Utd Lead League 1 First Round

Brikama United

By Omar Bah
Brikama United firmly maintained their position as league leaders with six points clear, despite being held to a goalless draw against Wallidan at the Box Bar stadium during the final game of the first round.
Brikama United came into the game with home advantage resulting in their brilliant display on the ball during the game, but Wallidan’s compact defense silent their attacking style with a goalless draw.
Both teams played well with chances, but none of them could manage to break the dead luck forcing the game to end in a goalless draw. Brikama remain leaders with 25 points, Wallidan fourth with 19 points behind Real and GPA.
The league leaders were satisfied with the draw as it does not change their stand in the table with six points clear at the top, while Wallidan’s assistant coach Mansour Jeng expressed delight with results.
‘’we are not strangers to Brikama United, they have never won us in the league so… is not a bad game but my plan was to earn three points. We will bounce back in the second round,” Jeng said.
