GSA to equip thirty refs

Ngetcell-Banjul (The Gambia) The Gambia Swimming Association will on Friday 22nd April 2016, start a three day training clinic for thirty swimming referees and judges at the Gambia national Olympic Committee house in Kanifing .


The three day clinic to be instructed by Samuel Greetham, a member of the FINA open water swimming technical committee and director of British Swimming is aimed at offering technical know-how and promotion of best practices that can help the National Association to succeed.

It will also enhance pool performances, by providing the required information for Judges and Referees during pool training sessions.

Arfang Y Jobe, Amadou Danso, Yoro Njie, Basiru Drammeh and Cherno Jefaru Krubally, were the five Gambian officials appointed in the FINA open water swimming commission in January 2013, and more is expected from swimming officials after the three days’ training.
