The second division team, Tallinding United added another 3 points in the table ranking after an impressive 3-0 win over their rivals S/K East in a derby match Wednesday at the S/K East mini stadium.
After a short break, the second division has now resumed action with Tallinding grabbing the maximum six points in two games while S/K East won one and lost one.
Tallinding United’s opened the scores against S/K East as early as the 6th minute of play courtesy Buba Jaiteh, followed by Assan Jandi in the 59th minute.
Omar Jobe alias Messi’s 63rd minute goal sealed a clear victory for Tallinding United, dashing whatever hope was left for S/K East.
Nyanga Sallah the coach for S/K East expressed dissatisfaction over his team’s bad performance, noting that it is very bad to be trashed 3-0 in a derby.
He however said it is not bad to open with winning one match and losing another, saying that his team will be better prepared next game.
“It is not what we were expecting, is too bad to lose,” he stated. “My boys were not tactically disciplined, they lack composure and lost concentration as a result of the early goal.”
He said he is a coach who believes in total 90 minutes performance despite the situation. “With all the 3 goals, my boys were creating chances,” said Nyanga Sallah.
According to Alhagie Nyassi, head coach for Tallinding Utd, every game is different and with a different preparation his team treat game by game and S/K East is not an exception.
“All what we need is 3 points and that was what we scored and it paid dividend,” said the Tallinding coach, adding that Tallinding is vying for the first division, and a win is the only weapon they can use to achieve their goals.
